The San Antonio Job Market 

As per the data released in the beginning of 2013, the city has primarily experienced job gains between November and December 2012. The non-agricultural sector increased by 3,200 jobs, hereby offering 878,600 jobs in the market. In spite of the downfall in employment in the construction sector, there has been an annual growth of 1.6% in the field of education and health services. 

Maximum job gains have been experienced in the trade transportation and utilities, government and professional and business service sector – where there has been a gain of 1000 jobs each over a period of one month. Annual growth rates read positive figures of growth worth 1.2% in the government sector, 0.9% in the transportation and utilities sector and a whopping 2.5% growth in the business services sector.
